[🚀(See Update 4-2-2026)🚀 In Honor of 4 Intrepid souls endeavoring to “Slingshot” around the dark side of the Moon 🌗
Encapsulated in a tiny module dubbed Artemus II 🤯.]
Early in his career, President John F. Kennedy stated “…We choose to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard.”
While that may have resonated like an ambitious and perhaps too bold a statement for that time, it triggered the space race and set in motion great technological developments for America and later the world.
Change that would alter our lives forever.
A year later, America grieved for a national loss 😢 and the world was shaken.
We perceived that better world he spoke of and accepted his enduring challenge. We took one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. Certainly, we were no longer living in Camelot.
Coupled with that, and undoubtedly inspired by Mr. Kennedy’s statement, Jonathan King wrote and sang a melodic and wildly popular song titled:
“Everyone’s Gone to the Moon.”
It’s a perfect song to make one think. I remember those days vividly and see that time in every version of Kennedy Half dollars here in this set.
Maybe Johnathan was just thinking lunatics in a good way. At any rate, here are the lyrics. You can easily pull up the song on youtube.
“Streets full of people,
all alone
Roads full of houses,
never home
Church full of singing,
out of tune…
Everyone's gone to the moon
Eyes full of sorrow, never wet
Hands full of money, all in debt
Sun coming out in the middle of June…Everyone's gone to the moon
Long time ago
Life had begun
Everyone went to the sun
Cars full of motors, painted green
Mouths full of chocolate-covered cream
Arms that can only lift a spoon…
Everyone's gone to the moon
Everyone's gone to the moon
Everyone's gone to the moon.”
Release Date September 1965. Decca Records.
But, did we really go? The astrophysicist Van Allen said maybe not. Perhaps one day we will have a “Kennedy Mint” located on the lunar surface stamping out these precious half dollars.
Who knows?

02 April 2026: Four “Moon-monautes,” three Americans and one Canadian, strap themselves in for the ride of their lives atop a U.S. made Orion rocket-ship. The Launch? Textbook perfect. Mission duration; Ten Days.
But I have to wonder… were they secretly on a mission to scope out a suitable future building site for a NEW Kennedy Mint? One can ONLY wonder!🤪🤑阅读全文
