When I was a young boy of 6, my grandmother introduced me to the world of coin collecting. She gave me a Whitman penny folder, produced a jar of pennies, and together we proceeded to fill every slot we could. A couple of years later, as my collection of circulated coins grew, she presented me with a small box that used to hold a necklace or some other piece of jewelry... only this one had something else hiding inside. She had given me my first 'real' coin... a 1881 Morgan Dollar. From that one coin grew a collection that I am proud to own. So, when I decided to switch my Morgan collection from raw to graded coins, there was no doubt that the first coin would be an 1881. Once again, from that one coin will grow a set that I, and Grandma Alice, will be proud to own!
